I have had an echocardiogram and an ekg..........a barium swallow . the doctor diagnosed me with anxiety but i still have problems after being on 50 mg of zoloft for about three weeks. Lately ive been having chest pains on the left side of my chest which realy worries me worse because i always wonder if its a heart problem. and i feel like im shaking on the inside. This goes off and on every day for about the ppast week. Is all this anxiety?

Sounds like it, similar symptoms that I have had in the past. I know it might be hard to believe that the chest pains can be just anxiety related, but I know personally know that this can be true. Just try to relax ( I know, easier said then done) and ride it out.

Good Luck :)

IMO your doc doesnt know much about antidepressant dosing for anxiety sufferers, your dose is too high, split the tablet and take only half for awhile
doc should have also given you some valium type meds to help you get used to the zoloft
these zoloft type meds often make your anxiety worse at first for the first few weeks
the chest pain may be from the zoloft or perhaps indigestion, heartburn or acid reflux, all associated with anxiety
stay on the zoloft for up to 6 weeks as it can take that long to work properly
