My husband and I currently have one daughter (22 months) with CF. We are ready to conceive another child and hope to take advantage of in-vitro fertilization using pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD). We are hoping there are other parents of CF children who are either considering this procedure or have taken advantage of it and have been able to convince their insurance company to cover a portion, or all of the cost. If there are other parents out there who have succeeded with insurance coverage, please let us know how you convinced them and include the name of the insurance company. We are getting ready to appeal our first denial and hope to gather as much information as possible, so our insurance company won’t deny us again. We will greatly appreciate anyone who can help.
