Hello
I Am New To This Board And Glad I Found It Hoping To Get Some Info And Advice.
First I Have Been On Yasmin For Almost A Yr. Now Due To The Fact That Ortho Made Me Gain Lots And Lots O F Weight. So My Doc Suggested It And I Tried Yet...very Pleased Because I Havent Gained Any Weight At All. I Have However Had Many Other Problems Such As Sometimes Excessicve Crying, Depression, Bad Anxiety And Worrying All The Time. I Have Never Been Like This Befour Until Yasmin. I Thought That It Was Just Me Changing But After Reading Several Post Im Thinking It May Be The Yasmin Since These Problems Didnt Start Till I Started Taking It. So I Am Going To My Doc Next Week For My Yearly. I Am Wondering If I Should Change. I Would Like Yalls Imput On The Following:

If I Do Change, I Know I Will Gain Weight..ive Been Told That It Is Water Weight...so Is Taking Water Pills (diuretic) From Over The Counter Alright To Eliminate This Problem Or Not Safe? Shouldnt It Help If Weight Gain I Due To Water Weight?

Second Is There Any Pill That Has That Yall Have Tried That Has Not Made Yall Gain Weight And Not Effected Yalls Mood?

I Know Everyones Body Reacts Different But Im Just Curious On What Has Worked For Others. Any Advice Is Greatly Appreciated :d

It's not wise to use diuretics without your doctor's recommendation to loose water weight. These products can cause other adverse effects on your body, and be harmful in the long run.

Also, just because you gained weight with one pill, doesn't mean that it will happen with another pill. There are several different hormone formulations on the market. Most professionals agree that "water weight" is only 5 pounds or so, anyway. Anything beyond that it usually attributed to poor diet and lack of proper exercise.

You won't know how you'll react to a new pill until you try it, and allow adequate time for it to work properly.
