Hi there I have a question for you all... My daughter is 9 years old... At age 5 months she was in the hospital for a month with unknown respitory (sp?) problems... In an oxygen tent for 3 weeks... We were told that she has asthma... Went on for years thinking that was the problem... We moved to Anchorage Alaska from Fairbanks (that is were she was in the hospital at 5 months) Well, Also she spent time in the hospital several times other than that time... Just none as long... Ok... I took her to our new dr. and he got all of her records from Fairbanks Memorial... To his suprise... At age 5 months she had a sweat test that came back showing extreme high levels of salt... He said that this was a positive CF diagnoses... So, he ordered a second test (she was 7 at the time) It came back inconclusive... She was tested again... Again it came back inconclusive... Then the last time she was tested... It came back negative... Right arm 32 Left arm was 17... Tell me what you think... I'm at a loss... She has very bad night coughing... She is always trying to clear her throat... But, it doesn't help... She has slight clubbing of the fingers... (diagnosed by a Dr) He said that it was due to her asthma... Due to lack of oxygen to the hands and feet)(fingers and toes) Anyhow, Just tell me what you think... Thanks, AlaskaMom
