I Was Wondering What The Highest Dose Is For Generic Paxil For Anxiety And Panic Disorder. I Take 50mg (i Hate To Admit That) And I Still Am Experiencing Those Dreadful Feelings.
Any Input Would Be Appreciated

Thanks

Sassy

It is possible that your dosage is too high. If I take more than 20mg. per day, I get negative effects. Doctors do not know how to prescribe this drug.
50 mg. is probably too high...how much do you weigh? Also, drink lots of fluids with this drug. Remember also that paxil has a very short half life, bring down your dosage but do not miss a dose.

Hope this helps

You can go as high as 60. (But I think it's pointless, They should have capped it at 30)........

50 is very high, go back down to 20 or 30, it will be more effective than 50. have you had any side effects from such a high dose?

thank you for your replies. the only side effect so far is gaining weight. i was on 20mg, then he slowly upped the dose. i could tell a difference at first, but now 8 months later i feel panicky again. i did have a hysterectomy a year ago, so trying to adjust to hrt and paxil has been rough to say the least! do any doctors do test to check serentonin levels??lol! i do get hormones checked, but they fluctuate so much, who knows what to do! i know have some family members with this disorder, its like i dont know what to do, the feelings no matter how many times i have had them, are so scarey to me!
i just try to stay positive and calm, but it is hard

thanks again
