...I am still experiencing a fair amount of anxiety. I am a college student who has gradually cut back on my drinking over the past couple of years. My friends give me a hard time because they all love to go out and party all of the time. We are approaching the start of football season and at my school.....this is a very big deal. While I love going to games and tailgating, I just do not have the desire to party all day anymore.

Zoloft works better for depression. Paxil would be your best choice if anxiety is your issue.

Zoloft made my problems worse. Paxil is much better for me. Different people require different drugs. You just have to talk to your doctor and tell them that it isnt working.

to buck
assuming your zoloft dose is high enough, you should be getting some anxiety reduction by now, maybe stay on it another week then see doc about swapping to another antidepressant, they dont work for everyone, sadly

Buck I am 45 years old I use to drink all the time with my friends to really all the time for 23 years. I had fun but you need to realize drinking is going to kill you sooner then any thing will ok yes its fun now I look back and say why getting so drunk was so much fun when after words I felt so bad and stupid. Plus drinking alcohol will kill you plus do you realize they made alcohol for are feet noy for consumption really they did now we drink it and it kills are liver. Well I went off make up your own mind you know what changed me getting married to the right woman and she didn't drink at all plus haveing kids. And we can have fun without drinking its just the way every one is doing it they can't have fun unless they get hammered been there done that but you can have fun and who cares what your friends say or think if there your real friends drinking or not drinking they will like you or not just because your friends jump off the bridge do you follow or not why because it can kill well Hope something I said made since Im 45 years old I have alot of experience with every thing Drugs Alcohol the exceptance factor of what will my friends say Have a Blessed Day
