Hello there.... Now I need some professional help really. Saturday night I was assaulted, punched on the side of the face, not knowing it was coming.
I had to go to hospital to have 4 stitches on my lip where it has completely come away... But most of all I am worried about my teeth. It seems they have knocked the side row of teeth (where I was punched), on the top, slightly inwards. My teeth don't hurt at all, but I am sure they have been nudged inwards slightly and there is a bruise on my gum where I have been hit.
Can anybody tell me 2 things....
Firstly will my lip have a big scar?
Secondly will my teeth correct themselves?
Any help much appreciated guys...
Thanks

I can't answer your questions but am sorry that happened to you. I would go to your doctor concerning your lip and to the dentist regarding your teeth, did they take xrays at the hospital?
Good luck!

Hi...
Yes I've been to casualty, had x-rays for my jaw, and had my lip stitched. A few people have suggested my teeth with corrent themselves but just wanted some professional advice on here before arranging appointments, time off work etc...
Thanks anyway

I wish that we were qualified to give you professional advice but we cant. The advice that is on these boards are from people that are experiencing the issues that they are discussing. For a professional opinion or advice you need to see a dentist and or a doctor.
But in my non professional opinion, your teeth should go back to there normal structure so long as they were healthy and strong before being injured. I was in a car accident that loosened a couple of teeth about ten years ago. They went back to there normal position after a while. I was just really careful not to eat on that side while the teeth were loose.
The fact that you have stitches means the cut was deep, and yes there is a chance of a scar. Try not to pick at it, or irritate it. Keep it clean and try using some Vitamin E oil to keep it moist.
Good Luck, I hope you a speedy recovery.
