Hi I'm new to the forums and this is my first post. I am a male 47 who has a
Arthritis Condition called: D.I.S.H. (Diffuse Idiopathic Skeletal Hyperostosis). It is a form of Degenerative Arthritis that causes calification and ossification of the spine and also affects other parts of the body where tendons join to bone.
I have pain in my Cervical Spine, Thoracic Spine and Lumbar Spine. I have heel spurs in both ankles, also both my rotator cuffs in both shoulders are damaged(right shoulder really bad). I've had 2 Lumbar operations(which the
last one damaged the sacrealic nerve(I know I spelled that wrong).
I have been on all types of Arthritis Medications and about the only one that
has helped ease some of the pain is Etodolac. At one time I was on 1600mgs
(400mgs X 4)but I cut it down to 800mgs for awhile. Now I'm only taking 400mgs. Dropped the dosage(with my doctor's consent)when I heard that some of the Arthritis meds were possibly causing heart problems.
Even though I have this condition I will not let it get the best of me. I am hoping that I can be of some help to anyone else who may have this condition. Even if it's only talking. Well, thank you for reading my post and have a nice day.
