I have been having some strange symptoms for several years. Numbness and tingling in my arms and legs. It used to be only my left side now it sometimes is both. My hands and feet feel like they are buzzing sometimes my whole body feels like this. I have been having tests to rule out all kinds of things. I had an MRI with contrast that showed I have a lesion in my brain. The Dr. said I might have had a stroke or it might be the beginning of MS. That was two years ago. I also passed the EVP (evoked potential?) then. I was suposed to go have a repeat MRI but haven't done it yet. I am planning to get it done in August.
I have many of the symptoms but really would like to get to the bottom of all of this. I was dx with fibromyagia in 1999 but sometimes I think the Dr. did that because he was tired of messing with me.
Is burning along with the pain a normal symptom of MS?
Is there a good list of symptoms somewhere that I could read without doing anything that is against board policies?
My short term memory is getting worse...this bugs me most of all, I have five kids.
Well, sorry to drag on...
Thanks in advance for your input.
P.S. My mother in law has Primary Progressive MS and I have watched her life go from active working single mom with tons of energy, to being in a wheel chair, depressed and feeling useless. I guess the whole thing just scares me.
Blessings,
Kathy
