I started on the Ortha Evra Patch in December but switched after 2 months to Trinessa...then my insurance switched to Tri-Sprintec which I have been taking for the last 4 months...now all of a sudden my period is 3 days late. I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it came out negative. I have not missed any pills. Is this normal should I be worried?? PLEASE HELP!!!

While the pill ideally should regulate your period, sometimes, these problems happen. If you don't get your period by the end of the week, take another pregnancy test. If it's negative, chances are it's just a fluke, and you have nothing to worry about.

i started taking ortho evra a while ago to regulate my period but then i heard from a nurse who says she has seen a lot of people get pregnant on it. i would recommend a blood test just to make sure. good luck which ever way.

Switching pills can always delay your period or just cause you to miss it completely....but you said that it's been 4 months since you switched so this isn't likely to be the cause of you missing your period.

Have you been more stressed out that usual lately? Stress can cause you to miss a period. It's happened to me a few times. Or have you lost a lot of weight? Low body fat percentages can also cause you to miss your period.

Either way, just try to get to a doctor or a planned parenthood office to get a test done. I do not trust home pregnancy tests one bit. I've had two different brands tell me I was pregnant but when I went to the doctor, he told me I was not.
