They will fade to a silvery color, but it can take a really long time. I think it took almost up to a year for all of the redness to go away. Fun huh?? Oh well, I think of it as a badge of honor for what I went through to have this baby. mickih 07-28-2005, 09:40 AM My stretch marks were a lot worse with my second child. I had her in January. I used this cream from Avon called Avon Solutions Stretch Mark Refiner. It really did make a difference. It really did help fade them to where they are barely noticeable. It's inexpensive and it's guaranteed or your money back. LadyoftheLake 07-28-2005, 12:22 PM THe best thing you can do is drink lots of water, even if you already have them. It is also best to take Vit E, K, Zinc, C and Fish Oil which are said to be very good for the skin. I have them on my stomach, thighs, calves, hips and breast from my son. Its hard to deal with sometimes cause you feel like your the only person in the world that looks like a road map, but alot of people get them so it isn't all that bad. Up until just a few days ago I thought my mother never had them until she showed me, she has them on her hips and behind her thighs...you would not even notice. She said they were as bad as mine when she had my brother and I, but years later they aren't noticable at all. I hope mine are like that in a few years. It is also best to always us a good collagen/elastin lotion like St.Ives everyday, or mix your own lotions and oils, this helps to prevent any othes and keeps your skin moist and smooth. tigger_girl76 07-28-2005, 07:18 PM I've been using Bio-Oil specialist skincare. It's for scars and stretchmarks and it's always being advertised in my pregnancy mags. If I do end up getting any stretch marks this stuff is suppose to reduce the appearance of them. |
