How much Green Tea can a person drink or take in pill form and it be healthy for them?
I have heard so much about green tea being a good source of appetite suppresant as well as an antioxidant, and have been taking a green tea diet pill and now have receently started drinking some green tea with ginseng during the day as a supplement. It's pretty good. It has a touch of honey in it with no sugars, no calories, or carbs.
thanks for replies.

I, too, have recently been turned on to green tea. I've been enjoying the Republic of Tea varieties. The jade one with mint is unsweetened, but you could never tell. I'm a southerner, too, and thought I'd never kick my "sweet tea" addiction.
As for your question about how much is too much, I'm not much help. I can tell you a colleague of mine took green tea pills and drank a lot of it daily (like three to five big glasses), and she stopped because things started turning green, like the whites of her eyes, her pee and poo
I drink about two 12-ounce glasses a day on ice, but I don't take the pills. I haven't noticed any of the effects my friend did, thank goodness. I wasn't even aware of any weight-loss effects associated with it. I'd just read about the antioxidants and figured it must be better than the sugery processed stuff I'd been drinking.
Good luck & Cheers

there are a few drawback to green tea that i read about from a dietary guide from readers digest; an ingredient in tea called tannin decreases iron absorption if tea is consumed with meals. and it has a diuretic effect and if too much is consumed and cause dehydration. so be careful!!! green tea has many benefits!!!
