View Full Version : Baby clothes and the cord

I'm 33 weeks, and we are putting together the final shopping list for the things we didn't get at our showers. I was just told yesterday to be sure to have t-shirts on-hand so the cord isn't irritated by clothing.

This was the first I'd heard about t-shirts in all the lists & recommendations I've read. Should I make sure we have some t-shirts, or are onesies really just fine?

It's good for the cord to air out...but having your little one in a onsie isn't going to harm anything. Just make sure that you fold the top of your baby's diaper down so that the diaper doesn't rub the cord. Congrats on your little one! :)

Onsies are just fine. Like the other poster said fold the diaper down so it doesn't rub the cord.
