my 12 month old daughter, goes to my MIL house once a week for maybe 3 or 4 hours, and whenever she brings her home and hands her to me my baby cries and wants to go back in MIL's arms, this hurts me alot. Im a sahm and i thought she should miss me. My hubby says his mom is always holding dd, and doesn't put her down much, i dont know if this is the reason, but i feel awful, it makes me think that dd would rather live with her. :(

Be thankful your dd stays with your MIL and likes it. My kids (15 and 20 yrs) have never stayed, been invited to stay, at their grandmothers house. She's not your typical grandma. She can't tell you their birthdays, if they wear braces...or how old they are. So count your blessings your dd has a wonderful caring grandma.............and no she will NEVER love anyone as much as you. Grandman prob just spoils her rotten....which is what she is supposed to do..........

My son started doing this with me when he was 15 months old. He wanted daddy and when he would try to hand the baby over to me he started screaming. I am a SAHM too. It hurt my feelings so bad. He always wanted daddy and not me. Now he is doing the opposite. He only wants me and screams when daddy takes him. These babies are weird sometimes! Your son will always love you most dont take it personally. I think sometimes they know they have mom wrapped around their finger and are confident rejecting you.
