hi i just got 2 of my wisdom teeth pulled and everything seems to be healing ok, i just have a question when i rinse w/ the peridex mouth rinse stuff i feel a shooting pain but when i spit it out it goes away i just wanted to see if anybody knew if this was normal or if i have like a nerve infection or dry socket.....i dont know what to do i go back in the morning to get my stitches out but i really wanna know if there is something wrong or if its normal if anyone knows will u let me know thanks so much!

Umm I am not sure but maybe the wash has something in it that you have a topical allergy too???? I would tell the dentist about it. Since the feeling goes away when you spit it out I dont think that it is too serious.

Hope that you are doing okay other wise.

hey Casey, i went to the dentist 2day she said it was normal it should go away with in a week or so i bruised and swelled up pretty bad so i guess its gonna take a lil longer 4 me to heal which sucks! but i got the stitches out today and she said everythng looked good & i feel alot better too i can eat real food now i'm gonna gain the 7 pounds back that i lost but o well im so tired of apple sauce and yogurt! but anyway thanks for replying &take care
