Hi, I had a question about having your period at around certain times and skipping. I read that you could skip your 4th week of pills if you take all of the first 3 week ones and that will skip your period if you dont take the 4th week...Can anyone tell me if this is true? Does it maybe depend on the brand of pills your taking...I saw this on a college medical website. Thanks to anyone who can help! :)

Yes, it's possible. There's a brand of birth control called Seasonale that operates on this principle, but it can be done with other brands of pills, too.
It's easy to do it on monophasic pills than triphasic pills. Few women have success skipping periods on triphasic pills. And some women are unable to skip periods on even monophasic pills.

Yes, I was on Desogen and did it a couple of times when I was on Vacation.
