is 3 times a week enuff to go to the gym? i mean, i cant get there any more than that b'cos i have a child, it should be enuff to see some results, shouldnt it?

Toning up just means to become more chizzled and have a more defined look...skinny people get this much easier, but bigger, heavier people look alot better when they are "toned"....dont worry soo much about losing weight because when you work out to become toned...weight loss will cvome naturaly, 3 times a week is fine....just make sure your getting all your exercises in and you'll be fine...good luck :)

Toning up means your not trying to lose weight, your just trying to get an overall more tighter defined look. In my opinion harder to achieve than losing weight.

It doesn't matter what toned means. What matters is the results you want. But that aside, toned generally means getting "harder." you get that by getting more muscle, or less fat. If you start out fat, you get toned by losing weight. If you start out skinny, you get toned by building muscle. Generally, why people say they want to get toned, they just want to decrease fat, and increase muscle. But, in the end, I hate the word "toned." In the realm of fitness, it is misused. Don't think there are toning exercises, or that doing low weights with lots of reps will get you toned. There are no toning exercises, only muscle building exercises. Toning comes from your diet.
