Are there any side effects to supplementing whey protein or myoplex shakes. Can they make your face break out at all?

no, unless ur allergic to diary products. Also, if there is alot of sugar in the shake that may cause a problem or if u take an overdose that may be a problem as well. But whey protein does not break ppl out.
