Hey everyone. I have huge thighs! I'm 5'6, and only 115-117 lbs. But my thighs measure 22 - 22 1/2 inches around at the top! I feel so out of proportion! Is there anything I can do to reduce the size? Please help! I'm desperate!

You could use one of those thigh workers, but l found that the real answer to shifting 'thigh fat' .............liposuction!
l had a few thousands from a very ,very nasty car crash a few years ago, having lost weight from the crash ( pain, plaster cast) l deciede to spend some of this money on myself, so l had a tummy tuck............oh! god absolutley brilliant! no stretch marks from 7 pregnancies anymore or appendix scar, as well as this l had my outter thighs done and my inner & outter kness done.
My thighs needed it ,before the crash l was a dance teacher, black belt in Karate and did weights twice a week, my body was great but my thighs just would not shift..............well they had gone now!
Nice straight as a ruler , firm ones, and at 50 years old that cant be bad!

Oh , dear............yes l see, not a good idea as you are still growing, now this is good!
You dont stop growning until you are 18 , in that time yout body changes shape no end, so as long as you keep up a good diet some decent exercise and dont gain a huge amount of weight in a short period of time or go to the other extreme of trying to loose weight in a short period of time, you should find that ypour bosy will re-shape itself .
When l was 13, talk about a 'string bean'!!!! flat chested, you could bounce a ping pong ball off me, round podgy stomach , wide hips and dangly arms and legs that looked like l was turning into a monkey!!! not a pretty site even on a dark night.Not one boy would look at me, l did feel a right misfit.
But by 15..........ahhhhhhh!
Bust grown overnight now a 34b/c , waist minute, flat as a pancake stomach and hips had melted back to normal ................was chased around the cloakrooms at school one day for a Christmas kiss by a ' rugby playing god ' of 15, of course he caught me!
l'm sure that if you are careful with what you eat and let nature take its full course , you will find that the large green catipillar will turn into the most beautiful pale pink slender butterfly, and that you will have every man on the block admiring your womanly curves.
( well at least you dont look like l did, who wants to look like a monkey!)

I know how you feel! (Hence my user name ;) ) I asked the same question and didn't get a lot of reply. Guess the lipo suction would work for me since I'm 25, but I don't have a few thousand! However, I do have one trick up my sleeve that helps me slim down every time...it just involves work. I always do the Radu workout with Cindy Crawford. She shows some awesome legwork that really helps me (when I do it!). The previous reply is right, though, you have time to decide what kind of body shape you want now. If you learn to eat right and exercise now, you will find your groove!
PS-The workout video is not new. I'm not sure how old it is, but you can probably find it on e-bay or something. Cindy Crawford put out a couple of videos, and I'm not sure exactly which one it is, but I know her trainer's name is Radu. The workout is great for arms, butt, and stomach, also! Good luck!

i have the same thigh problem- i can look absolutely emancipated on top and still have huge thunderous thighs!!!
i went to a plastic surgeon who told me he could do anything about- i think was just being conservative- i need to go to beverly hills where the standards are higher!!!

Blimey girls ( well hope all girls!) l didnt think so many of us had this probelm, when l was younger ( cough-cough) in my twentys my ex used to call me 'a stick in a barrel'................nasty, spitful man , thats why he's now my ex! I did try exercise, god l'm a qualified dance teacher, black belt in karate ( E.K.K.A) and also worked out at a gym every other day ..............but the jolly old thighs stuck with me!
At 50 , had operation now 7 years ago, my thighs have nevr ever put the fat back on, when l recently was put onto a 'throttle the doctor who gave it to me drug'!!!! that made me put on 3 1/2 stone over 12 months , l looked like a 'wheeble' yet my thighs where o.k. ( not saddle bags , just bigger)
Having now lost well over 3 stone since christmas , l have lost the inches from all over my entire body ( no more wheeble face) and the thighs are just slimmer.
If you need to have lipo on them , choose a really good doctor, check his credentilas well and ask to speak to someone who has had work done by him ( there is always somone who is willing to talk) also check him out by name on any medical web sites .........someone will also slag him off if he has messed up!
Exercise is good, going up and down steps / stairs is fantastic for your legs , so if you cant afford a gym or even a tape .............start walking up and down department floor stairs or how about the empire state building? .....................no, no only joking. :eek:
