Has anyone had long term success with the 3 Day Diet Plan? I have lost an average of 6 pounds during the three days on the diet, however the weight comes back during the four days off. Please advise.

Hi Lat,
I have never used the 3-day diet, so I don't know how it works. But, ANY diet that creates RAPID weight loss (and that, apparently does) is most likely just eliminating 'water weight', especially is it all came back right away. Sensible eating (eliminate processed and high-fat foods and eat LOTS of fresh fruits and veggies) along with exercise is still your best bet.
There are no quick fixes to weight loss. Any diet or pill that provides a quick fix is going to do you more harm than good.
The weight didn't come on overnight, it's not likely to go away that fast, either.

The 3-day diet has a calorie count that is too low for most people. When you don't eat enough calories, your body goes into "starvation mode" and slows your metabolism, which makes it hard to lose weight. You'd be better off going on a moderate calorie level diet for 7 days.

I've used the 3-day diet. (I've used the one put out by the American Heart Assoc.) Anyway, I beleive the whole purpose of that diet is to cleanse the body and help rid the body of waste. I've never used it as a weight loss plan itself, but I have used it to start a weight loss plan. It helps start things off on the right foot.

i dont know if you knew this or not, but it says its put out by the amer.hrt.*** . and really, they turned it down for approval! my neighbor has been extemely successful and looks great but she also watches what she eats the other four days also. my sister and i tried it too. it worked for her the first three times but not any more...as for me? i didnt even lose so much as a half a pound!
