Hi All,
I really need to get into shape and lose 50 pounds. I know that cutting back on my eating is not enough. I have an elipitical machine that I will be using. However, I should get in some weights in addition to the cardio. Does anyone have any suggestion on a book or video that will help a beginner get started?
Thanks

One of the best beginners weight training books out there is called weight training workouts that work by James Orvis. I think he even has a website where you can download the worksouts and the book. You should be able to find it on amazon otherwise.
It's a great book for anyone who wants to get started into weight training. Plus most of the workouts can be down in 30 to 45 minutes and it's also possible to do most of them at home with just dumbells.
