My left front tooth is longer than the rest of my front teeth. I want to make it even so it doesn't look like I have a crooked smile anymore. My question is this: Has anyone filed down or had a dentist file down a tooth to make the toothline even? What did you use/how much would a dentist charge? Are there any risks? I'm looking to file it down not too far...about 1.5 millimeters. Thank You.

When I was a teenager I chipped a front tooth. My dentist evened it up, then filed the other one down a little so its the same as the other, so yes, they can do it. Mine looks like it has always been that way and I have never had any problems with it.

Good luck!

Nancy
