My husband had the FEM POP surgery (artery bypass on leg) about 4 months ago. He has had such trouble since. His leg swells really bad. I mean to the point it looks like it is going to bust. He has NO feeling in his lower leg AT ALL. You can take a needle and puncture him and he can not feel it. Now all of a sudden his leg is throbbing bad at night. When we ask the doc about all these things he replies "that's just part of it". He claims the feeling will come back but the swelling he never really gives us an explanation. My husband is 59 years old and works construction and he gets out there and works like he is 20 and this is really dragging him down.
They want to do the other leg but there is no way that he could have both legs acting like this.
I am hoping that somebody reading this will have had or know someone that has had this surgery and can tell us if any of these things happened to them Remember it has been 4 months and it is not getting better if anything it is getting worse. SOMEBODY PLEASE REPLY!!!
