Had a bout of urinary infection in May 2005.

Doc used the scope and IVP test (negative), said bladder showed signs of heavy infection with the scope. Not sure but I think, some type of pathology was ordered and he said it was negative.

Visited doc in July 2005.

No blood in urine. However, Doc said BTA test was positive and most likely related to infection. He said infection of the bladder can take a while to heal.
He said come back in September and if the BTA is still positive he will rescope and take tissue samples.

Today July 30, 2005.

Urinated today and noticed a very very tiny fleck of tissue with blood red color on the end. Specimen was about 1/32th in length and the diameter of a large sewing needle. Urine appeared to be clear.

I will call the doc of Monday and ask him if he needs to see the sample that I saved.

Any advice from folks familiar with bladder cancer.

I think it is a good idea to call your Dr. on Monday. It is better to be safe then sorry. I bet he will want to see your urine sample. When my dad had bladder ca he had some tissue that was in his urine with lots of blood. It may be nothing but you won't be able to rest until you find out. Good luck and let us know wahat the DR thinks. Tina
