Has anyone does this? I researched this one on the web, and have seen the commercials. This diet sounds like a miracle. Lots of people have lost a mass amount of weight on it (Jared Fogle, the "Subway Guy" that started it all, lost 245 pounds. Another lost 111 lbs, another 60, another 95, another 91..and so on!)
If anyone on this board has done it, I would really appreciate you posting your results. I'm starting mine on the week after next, and I will keep you all posted on my progress!!

Allison, I've seen the commercials as well. The new commercial shows a lot of different people with large amounts of weight being lost. I know of no one who's gone on this particular diet. I won't even attempt to try it because I like too much variety and I would definitely get bored with subway sandwiches after a short period of time. Good luck to you, however, and let us know how you do on it! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

This is my honest opinion on it. I have no doubt that they lost weight eating at Subway. But I honestly believe that the only reason this is such is because by them eating at Subway they changed their diet and started eating a healthier diet. Plus, the biggest explanation for their weight loss that I can see is they got up and moved. If you notice, Jared lost his weight by WALKING to Subway everyday. Then there is a guy on the new commercial who I think is biking and another person is running I believe and a business lady is walking. So mainly, I think what did it is the exercise. That's just my opinion though.

I have been on my own version of the Subway diet for about 2 weeks. Daily I eat: 4 fruits, 2 fat-free Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa (I don't like milk), 2 quarts of water, and for the evening meal I eat one of the 12 inch 6gm subs with light mayo on either wheat or harvest wheat. I take 2 600mg with D calcium tabs and 1 multivitamins daily. My version gives me all the food groups as well as fibre. I lost 7 pounds in the first 3 days and have now settled to an average of 1 pound a day.
Today I added 30 minutes on the treadmill to the regime.
I carefully watch the person making my sub...some want to go short on the veges. In those cases I just tell them I want more lettuce, onion, green pepper or black olives. It costs no more if they give you a little or a lot
If anyone tries my version, let me know what you think.

Even though I am pregnant now and just trying to maintain my weight I have been having bad cravings for subway. The other day(sat)I weighed 202lbs even(All time hi for me the last 2 years) and for breakfast I had 1 cup corn pops(100 cals) then I had a light hot chocolate. Then for lunch I felt like subway so my hubby went out and got me 2 Deli style turkey Breast sandwiches WITH CHEESE, lots of lettuce. onionsw, mayo, mustard s&p. I ate both for lunch the had about 4 or so hersheys tastasions(caramel) candies between lunch and dinner and for dinner had cravings again and had the same for dinner just w/ ham.You know w/ the mayo, cheese, mustard. deli style bun and a snack after. Then the next day(sun I repeated it just w/ apple cinnamon cheerios.(This pregnancy subway is my best buddy...lol) So I have really wanted it bad lately so I have had it every day since saturday except for today. The same 4 deli's(alternate meats) a day and snacks and breaky and then today I woke up at 198! Now I have NOT increased my water intake and have NOT been peeing more than usual so I don't think its water even though whebn you lose water you lose water inches. With me if I lose water its about 5 lbs the first day+ then I keep losing daily! Just so you know those subs are low enough in cals that you can have them with mayo and cheese(only 38 cals for 2 peices) and still lose!!!I had 4 a day + food!! I wasn't even tring to lose weight!! Thats just my weekend!Good luck!

Hey Allison. I've lost 40 pounds over a long period of time. And I ate subs from Subway ALOT! But I LOVE Subway and could eat there every day. But some people might not be able to do that. But the key to losing weight IS exercising. I jogged 2-3 miles a day at a local track during my weight loss. Or I would just walk on my treadmill here at home. Now my exercise routine consists of taebo, weights and walking on my treadmill. (It's gotten too cold to go to the track..lol) It is true the longer it takes to come off the longer it stays off. Because I've kept mine off. I just need to drop another 15-20 pounds and I'll be back to where I need to be. I've just come to a standstill. I was thinking about trying the turbo protein diet. I hope this helped. Good luck!

The reason that those people lost weight on the subway diet is because their bodies got so used to eating exactly the same amount of fat and calories everyday.

I did hear Jared talking about how he did lose the weight. He said he started out walking, then jogging. Exercising is a majority of any weight loss. My husband eats every 2 hours, whatever he wants. His eating habits consist of fruits, vegetables, meat, ice cream, potatoe chips, candy bars, etc. Basically anything he can get his hands on. The one thing he is consistant on is exercising. He goes to the gym every day, jogs a few times a week. Exercise is a big key!
