I only have the top two. Well last month I felt my right top one coming in, but it hadn't popped out yet. So I tell the ortho, they say it's not an urgent thing. Well this past week it started growing out of the gum. I can't feel the other one popping out or anything like that. I'm doing invislign. I'm calling the oral surgeon tomorrow. I should really get these 2 removed. I only have the top two. Shouldn't I get them removed now that the one is coming in? Also, I'm going to make sure they use novacaine or something, because I'm not getting any IV until I get my surgery next year, and that's not for dental. So, What should I expect after getting these things cut out, and does it take a really long time? Does insurance cover it, or do I have to make sure first... Thanks.

Probably best to remove at least the one that is bothering you so long as you are able to put the invisiline positioner back in immedately. The surgery is usually done with a local (novocaine), and will generally not take very long nor disrupt your life for very long. Healing for the upper wisdom teeth is faster than the lower (generally speaking).

Why just get one? That's pointless. I'd get both removed and get it done with. I have to get a referal supposidly from my primary doctor to get this done. Ahh anything to cause a hassle. Thanks for the info though. They do novacaine, so I'd rather have that, plus its cheaper they said.

Note that I stated "at least the one"
