Hi all
Just wondering if anyone has had their pacemakers turned off. I am not pacemaker dependant and it is not a defib or ICD. It is a pacer for fast rhythms.
To make a very long story short I just cam out of the hospital after being there for 2 1/2 days with rhythm problems and pacer problems. My options that I was given were live the way I am and go to the ER as needed, come off the drugs and leave the pacer on and go to the ER as needed, or come off the drugs and turn the pacer off and see what happens. As of right now I have taken the last choice since there are no other options left for me.
I was just wondering if anyone else had any experiences that they would be willing to share. I have had my pacer in for 22 months and it will be turned off next month.
Thanks for all you help
Kathy
