Well I have been taking roughly around 60mg of Zinc daily for months and months to help with my acne. I have also been drinking 2 cups of green tea a day for the same reason. Now I know green tea can help with weight loss but how does zinc play a role?

The reason I ask is because since I have stopped eating junk food and candy etc to help clear my acne for almost a year now, I have become pretty skinny and lately have been eating more bread and pasta to put some weight back on.

Even though I have been doing this I haven't really been gaining weight and was wondering if the Zinc and green tea are big reasons why.

Thanks!

Although I have no real answer for you, I looked up the topic. Here's what I found:

"Zinc plays an important role in the immune system, which may explain why it is helpful in protecting against infections such as colds. Zinc also plays a role in the regulation of appetite, stress level, taste, and smell. It is essential for normal growth and development, and for most aspects of reproduction in both males and females."

Your theory is very interesting and makes me want to try it. It could have been the green tea alone. How much have you lost and in what time period?

It just seems strange to me that 2 cups of green tea a day could have such an effect. Although I have to say that most carbs I eat are not always bad carbs..meaning like thick organic rolled oats for example. Or 9 grain bread instead of just white bread.
