Hi Everyone, I have been diagnosed with RA (Palindromic Rheumatism) to be exact. It all started about 4 months ago and began with my knees. Mostly all of my pain and inflammation has been in my feet and ankles but here recently I have been experiencing constrictions in my hand joints. Last week was probably the first time this started. But it has happened a few times since then. It has only occurred in my right hand and I find that it happens mostly when I use it a good bit. My hand/fingers will tense up for a short period of time (maybe 10 seconds or so) and for those 10 seconds, I will not have any control over my hands until it stops. It's actually rather frightening. But I have noticed right after it occurs, if I don't straigten my hand out and let it rest for a minute, it will go back into the tense up mode. I don't know if this is normal, or if it is just a part of having RA. I haven't experienced any pain or problems what-so-ever in my hands before. Only my knees and feet...anyone else ever had this happen before? Or can anyone shed a little light on this subject for me?
