View Full Version : bone in my son's head?

My 9 year old son just got a very short shave haircut and we have noticed, for the 1st time, that the skull bones on the side of his head are not conected. He has a definate line where you can feel the break between the large skull bones. This is from the top of his ear to the top of his head. Has anyone else encountered this? His soft spot took 2 plus years to close, but the doctor wasn't concerened. He walks, talks, runs, reads, writes, plays baseball, seems fine. Don't know if we would have ever noticed this had it not been for the haircut, but he had noticed it and thought it was a vein in his head. Any feedback is welcome.
Thanks,
Shawn

I think at the very least a trip to his doc is in order for an eval with an x ray of his head to really see just what is and is not actually fused. There 'could be " some sort of problem or this could just be the way things finally fused together. But I would have him looked at and x rayed.Good luck,FB
