I am interested in going to see a psychiatrist but I am not sure how to go about doing this - do I need a referral?

Hey Jersey! I would suggest setting an appointment up with a therapist. If the therapist determines that you need more help he/she can make recommendations for local psychiatrists, plus your therapist will fill the psychiatrist in on 'whats up' with you. :)
