I've read that you don't get the product for a few months, though your credit card is charged right away, and getting a refund is a nightmare. I would like to learn more information on it though. Hey Copper,

Here's the info I've gotten so far from the answering service for this company. It consist of 16 plants and herbs that when ordered come to you in a bile form and you, depending on your weight, add so much drops into an 8oz glass of water which you drink with you meals (3x a day). The only problem I have is that there seems to be no way to actually get in contact with this company, all the numbers they provide you with are to answering services.

And I just want to know if anyone out there has used this product with any success.

i ran across seveal vitamin companies like that. the only people - AFTER you get thru the answering service - that i've been able to reach were STRICTLY sales people, not even connected to the company, just taking orders. they've had no clue what the ingredients REALLY are, or how to contact the actual company. weird business practice, but i guess there's enough of us 'suckers' out there that it's lucrative for them, anyway.

I still have yet to hear of anyone who has used this product with any positive results. I have also yet to hear back from "Butterfly Girl", as to how we can get in direct contact with the company itself.

I am sorry to say this, Sad Girl, but I think you have just sent your money to a bogus company for a product that chances are will not work at all. If it does work, pls. let us know.

I have been using this 16 plant macerate (Phytopharma) for a week. I started it on Wednesday, February 21, 2001, and today is Thursday, March 1, 2001. So far, I have lost a total of 2 1/2" off my waist, 4 1/2" off my hips, 2" off my thighs, and approximately 8 lbs. This has been the easiest diet I've ever tried. Because I want to lose about 50 lbs., I put in 25 drops of the liquid into a glass of water and drink it before each meal. The only advice I can give is to definitely eat right after you drink it or else you will get stomach cramps. I am very pleased with this product and recommend it to anyone who will listen!!

Because sometimes weight loss is great for people who need to lose more, your weight and height would be appreciated.

If I only have to lose 20-30 lbs - will it be the same?

I'm glad I came across this messageboard. I am sitting here with the add for this diet in front of me. I was considering ordering it until my better judgement told me to do a little research. Appreicate everyone's input.

And for anyone who is trying to lose weight the natural way, this is how I did it about 7 years ago. Low fat. That's all. I ate good, was never hungry. I lost 55 pounds in 7 months. I gained a lot of weight when pregnant with my baby and am now trying it again. I guess it just takes patience. I found, though, by losing it naturally and slowly, it stayed off for 5 years.

Thanks Mariahlynn for the input. It's great that this diet is working for you. I believe not every diet is for everyone. As for me, I'll just continue with my low-fat. It worked before. The only difference is this time I have a sit-down job. Even low-fat has the tendancy to go straight to the hips.

I am a little concerned.... I believe I put two stamps on the envelope, mailed it out on 3/5/2001, and have yet to receive the merchandise. How will it be sent to me? USPS or UPS ? I also, sent a money order out for the weight loss program of 20lbs. or more, what will the exact merchandise be? And do you have any tips on how I can truly make this product work for ME?

I ordered this product about 2 weeks ago. I just got done reading all oif the negative stuff about it. I was very disappointed but I guess not surprised. I called the company and requested a refund to my credit card. No, I havent received the stuff yet, I was just soooo disappointed at all the negative I didnt even want to try it. Now I see some people are saying it did work for them. Now I dont know what to do. He said it was on its way but i dont know now if i should try it or not. I did do the no carbs diet for about 3 months last year and lost 30 lbs. I was very excited. But, stupid me starting eating again and now I need to lose 50 lbs altogether. I am 5'6 and weigh 199 lbs. anyone that can help me please do. I tried the carbo thing again but it seems much harder this time around. I just cant seem to resist the stuff. I have seen ads for this 16- plant Macerat product. I did some more extensive research on it and the company that sells it.

I myself will make no statements about this product. My upbringing prohibits it. I would, however, advise anyone considering purchasing this product to look at the following article I found:

Wow, Lots of negative stuff... I ordered mine 5 weeks ago (3/10) - got it Saturday (4/7). I asked why the wait of at least 3 - 4 weeks, and was told that this is made in batches. That does not sound odd to me. Most consumer products are manufactured in "batches" of some sort. Anyway, I started it that Saturday night. I have since lost about 6 pounds and it's been about a week. I have yet to see what the final outcome is, but I do realize there are no miracle drugs out there. Thing is, I wasn't losing weight with light exercise and good eating habits. Now I am losing weight. Coincidence? Who knows...
Anyway, not all diets work for all people. If this doesn't end up working well, I will try to get a refund. If I have no luck with that, I covered myself by putting this on my credit card. See, there is something called Federal Regulation C, which allows you to call your credit card company, and have them charge back for fraudulent products, or products greatly misrepresented. (I learned about this regulation when planning my wedding...) So far, I am happy, so I won't worry about it for now. I am losing weight, not feeling sick, am sleeping well, and not "wired". Oh, and no, I don't work for them. I work for an insurance company, and I have my own custom gift basket business as well. Good luck to you all!

I am glad that is working for you. After 2 weeks of taking mine, I found out that they didn't get my order right. I only got the purgative, and not any drainer. BUt, I did lose 5 lbs, gained it back though. I did send mine back, only because first, my order wasn't right, and second, because I found something else that is working wonders for me!! I didn't want to mess with my success.

I got mine about 2 weeks ago but didnt really do it because I was hearing such bad stuff. Maybe, though I will actually try it. I did get a second shipment of the same thing yesterday for some reason. I did get both kinds, the purgative and the other one. Well, I think I'll try it. I've had it for a couple of weeks so I guess i should. will let you know if anything happens.

Hello! well i had no problem receiving mines although i live japan (military) i got it in 3 weeks..My question is..Does anyone remember when to use which? cause i got 2 bottles the problems is i went home on vacation and when i came back my husband had trown away the instructions.. My mom was also on this diet for 2 months and lost 50lbs and has been able to keep them off..that was last year..she keeps it off by going to the gym 4x a week and eating healthy so in order for this diet to work it is obious that you have to work with it. there is no miracle cure for losing weight you just have to work with it.... hope someone remembers!!

An interesting thing has happened to me... I was doing great - lost 7 pounds. (See my previous message...) Then, when the monthly hormonal stuff hit, I gained it all back and have not lost any weight since (one week later). I am back at ground zero on poundage according to the scale. The odd thing, though, is that I have not gained the SIZE back. I am still a size smaller than when I started and my stretch marks are not coming back. Guess I will wait and see...

Good luck on the Metabolite. I can't take it or others like it - ever seen Beavis after a pot of cappucino? That's me on any of those. I was taking it and couldn't even type on my computer I was shaking so bad. I am not knocking the product, though. I don't want to discourage you, but a sustained loss of 20 lbs. per month or 5 pounds per week is not likely beyond that initial month. While you might be able to do that the first month, which is due in part to fluid loss, it's not likely you will be able to keep up that pace. For one thing, you already lost the excess fluid. A more realistic goal is 1 to 2 pounds of fat loss per week. If you are losing much faster than that then the extra is probably muscle tissue which you don't want to lose. Make sure you are getting adequate protein in your diet to prevent muscle wasting. And don't watch those scales, which I know is hard not to do, but use a measuring tape instead. It's the inches you are really interested in losing right? Who cares how much the scales say if you can fit in the clothes that you want to wear.

THANKS FOR THE CONCERN... I KNOW NOT A REALISTIC GOAL. I'VE BEEN DOING THE LOW CARB THING,SO I AM DEFINITELY GETTING ENOUGH PROTEIN AND VEGGIES. I EXERCISE ON A DAILY BASIS AND HAVE BEEN DRINKING TONS OF WATER.
AND I HAVE CUT MY CALORIES DOWN QUITE A BIT FROM MY PREVIOUS EATING HABITS. I HAVE NOTICED A SLOW DOWN, BUT I ALSO TOOK A LITTLE BREAK FROM THE STRICT DIETING. I JUST FEEL SOOOOO MUCH BETTER SINCE LOSING THE 20 LBS, I FEEL GOOD WHEN I PUT ON NEW CLOTHES THAT I JUST BOUGHT THAT ARE 2 SIZES SMALLER THAN WHAT I USED TO WEAR. IT'S ALL IN THE ATTITUDE. I just got my two different bottles in the mail, and I am very confused! Nowhere does it say in the very VAGUE instructions which of the two bottles I am supposed to put into water. Do I use both, 2 drops of each for each 2 lbs I want to use? Someone please clarify this for me, thanks!

BAFAMS5555 - Beware of Metabolife, I tried it for three weeks, lost ~15 lbs. and then missed work for two days with horrible stomache cramps. I stayed off it for a month and then tried it again and within two days the cramps were back.
I came searching about the Macerat 16-plant extract, my husband brought home the add and suggested I try it. After all the negative adds I've resigned myself to the fact that losing weight is just not easy. Any quickie solution usually comes with a price - and I'd rather be basically healthy and 50 lbs over weight than have my health jeopardized.
For me, drinking a large glass of water before every meal has been great. I haven't been eating anything different but the weight is coming off. I can't eat as much because I feel full and the additional water helps my digestion and my skin.
If you are serious about wanting the pounds to come off - you know what works - eating healthy food in reasonable quantities and exercise.

I haven't started using the plant macerat yet as I can't figure out the instructions. All I want to know is how many drops and from which bottle? I am not impressed so far by this company as they have no way to contact them and the instructions are an absolute joke!

ANP Great Job. It always helps to have an incentive to lose weight bessides being over-weight. I have lost about 19 lbs. in 3 1/2 weeks. I am drinking a lot of water which I never did before. It is nice when some weight comes off. Keep up the good work. The rest will come off.

Swim-nut Thanx for the advice. I never got Metabolife but I don take something called Vitachraomalean. I dont know if it is helping but as you can see with what I told ANP the water is helping alot as wqell. No stocach cramps yet. Been taking it about 2 weeks or so. It comes from Nature's Gifts. I found it on clearance at Publix but can't find it anywhere else. I hope I can when I run out.But, your right. I think the only way is the hard way. Good Luck.

Thanks for the encouragement. The problem is that even on this program, I lose and gain the same 5-7 pounds. I still have not gained back the bit of size I lost, though - just not losing any more... I started the second set of bottles this morning and checked on a women's only gym down the street from me. I know there's no magic pill, I'm just really crunched for time between my day job, my business, and school, and need a jumpstart on the 50 pounds I have to lose... DRR :>(

I ordered 6 bottles on April 29 and just received them on June 2, 2001. I started taking 50 drops per bottle this morning. I have faith that it'll work. I'll report back in a couple of weeks and on July 3- the 30 day mark.

Like others I just received the product and don't understand the vague directions!! Do you put 1 drop per 2 lbs. that you want to loose of BOTH liquids combined in one 8oz glass of water?? What if I want to eat a snack at night....do I do this again for a 4th time that day or should I limit it to 3 times? I tried this and it did absolutely nothing. According to the ingredients, it seems to be nothing more than a diuretic, and not a very good one at that. I put 30 drops of each into a 32 oz bottle and drank from it during the day. That did nothing. So I tried 40, 50 random amounts.... nada. SAVE YOUR MONEY.... just another rip-off.

Well ... I wish I would've read all these before hand, I just ordered this stuff today. I hope that I get it ... at least then I got something for the money I am giving them ... if I don't lose anything then I'm no worse off than I am now. I try to stay healthy in the way I eat which isn't hard ... I work in a day care center and they have to serve healthy meals and snacks to the kids ... so I have just been eating with them instead of buying or bringing food. That hasn't helped though. I also ride my bike to school (I'm 22 and attend Arizona State University). Of course I am not taking any classes right now, so that hasn't been happening for about a month or so. I will definitely keep you all up to date and I will be checking to see what your progress is as well!!! And for the record before I start the product ... I don't know what I weigh. I don't even own a scale ... I don't believe in them. I judge my success on what I feel like and whether or not I am fitting into the clothing that I want to fit into. I do know however that just over a year ago I was about 30lbs lighter than I am and that with the 30lbs I also gained 4-5 inches in my waist. Not good! lol

This is my third week on Plant Macerat and I've gained 3 lbs. I'm definitely sending it back. I waited a month for nothing.

I'm going to try Xenadrine RFA-1 for eight weeks while exercising twice a day. I'll report back in a month. Boy do I hope that I'll be back to my regular size in time for my vacation to Jamaica.

I am new to this board but, I received (finally) my supply of Plant Macerat today - June 30. I will start tomorrow. I am going to give it a try. I will make regular postings to update everyone on my progess. Although all of the rhetoric doesn't sound too promising, I will keep an open mind.

To start I am 5'8" and weigh about 172lbs. I want to lose 40lbs, which puts me at 132lbs...my weight before 2 kids.

Update for y'all... I am getting smaller and losing weight, but it's not due to the drops. I joined a gym as I said I would and am doing water aerobics five days a week for an hour...

A friend of mine even gave me her drops. I am on the third set of bottles using 20 drops of each per glass, and I don't think they've helped me lose the weight - only help me drink the water I'm supposed to each day.

Well it's Tuesday and I've lost 1 lb. I have been using 15 drops of each per glass of water - 3x/day. I have not been using the drops for small snacks in between main meals. So far so good.

I have always exercised (walking) at least 3 times a week and will continue to keep the same exercise regimen while taking the Plant Macerat. That way I will know what is or isn't working. If you change serveral things at that same time then you have no way of knowing which one is giving you the positive results.

I am going to increase to 20 drops of each. I wanted to start out slow to make sure my body didn't have an adverse reaction.

ive been using this product for 2 months and nothing has happened,is it to late to get a refund? theres still liquid in the bottles if anyone knows where to send back the bottles please let me know

I ordered and received the drops, and I have been taking them for 2 days and was surprised when I hopped on the scale today and had lost 4 pounds. I will let you know how it progresses.


It has now been 12 days and I have lost 9 pounds, but I have also been drinking a lot of water. I think these drops have given me the excitement of losing my prgnancy fat!!

I could go on and on about the problems and incidents that I have had for almost a year now with 16 plant macerat. I ordered the product in Spetember 2000. Took 6-8 weeks to arrive. Tried it for 4-5 weeks and didn't lose a pound. Followed all the directions for Money back, no questions asked refund. After many, many calls and them telling me that they had refunded me when they haven't, fighting with the Supervisor's hotline, etc. I had almost given up hope. There is a new woman on the supervisor's hotline named Carol and she actually seemed concerned that I had been dealing with this (and I have it documented with names and dates) until JUNE, 2001. She assured me she would send me the refund. Well, about a week later, guess what? I got another package of the 16 plant macerat in the mail!!! It's almost amusing. Now, I can't find the regular phone number nor the Supervisor's number to call back. Can you believe it? This has been going on for 10 months!!!!!

If anyone out there has the phone numbers, please let me know!!! I'm determined to get my money back.

They won't connect you to anyone actually affiliated with the company or tell you where it's at or anything. I told them this was all a fake and that I was going to report to Better Business Bureau, but it sounds like others have and they're still in business!!
