I just got an Epipen for food allergies (had a bad hot dog reaction, so I'm not sure which part of the hot dog i'm allergic to). On the instructions of the Epipen it says not to use if its discolored, my question is what color is it originally and what color does it change to? mines a redish pink color now, and i'm sure its how its suppoed to be, I just want to make sure! :)
Thanks for the advice in advance!

Hi,
I am wondering if when you say that it is a reddish pink color- what color your encasing for the medicine is. My epi-pen comes in a dark yellowish color encasing. When looking at the medication, you can tell that it is clear. When the medicine goes bad, it turns cloudy looking, however- never- ever take a chance with such an important rescue medication- replace the pen by its expiration date every year.
This could be a literal lifesaver for you!

Hi,
mine is also in a dark yellow case, well kinda looks like a dark yellow sticker on it. is the window the part between the end of the dark yellow and the needle?
thanks
