Today i attended a very close friends funeral, who was taken from our clutches so suddenly.Surrounded by his loving family and his dear friends, i felt at such a loss.I cried uncontrollably which is the first time ive really weeped since the news of his death last friday. He was there for myself and my sister in times of need.He was part of the family, and greatly adored by all.He lives on forever in our hearts, and we will always treasure our fond memories of our dear friend.I have written a poem which i am quite proud of.After hearing the devastating news of losing a friend at the age of 22, to natural causes, i began to dedicate a personal tribue to him and wrote this piece:

The flowing glisten of saddened tears,
The pangs of a shattered heart,
Are all but the processes of coping,
For our souls are to be momentarily apart.

No one can escape the clutches,
Of such a timeless fate,
The dear lord gently clasps my palm,
For we embark through the golden gates.

Greeted by joyous praise and smiles,
Embraced by a tender new love,
For my homeward journey to paradise,
Is signified by a shining star above.

As I gleam upon your tear filled eyes,
My heart is filled with sorrow,
I never thought id leave so soon
Memories replace me come tomorrow.

You have been so loving,
So generous and true,
Your heartfelt aching of a loss,
Tears my heart in two.

But for now my life starts anew,
For wonder and joy will come,
Your tender tears will soon be healed
No longer will old love feel numb.

Always remember my faithful love
For eternity we’ll not be apart
For now every time you think of me,
I’m right here in your heart

Always remember the treasured happy memories from times of laughter, times of happyness and times of such fun.Loved ones will always remain in your heart.Grieving is the process of losing one such close to you, and as time goes on, such grief is eased by the love and care from surrounding family and friends.
Take care all.I hope you like my poem :-)

I can truly relate to your loss. I lost my best friend almost 25 years ago of natural causes too. She was 24 at the time. I still miss her terribly. I have gotten into photography lately and some pics turned out very well. So I am going to get some copyright in time and dedicate one of the pics to her. Its a pic of a hiking trail that we last spent some quality time on just before she passed. So the pic itself has meaning too.

Thanks for sharing the poem. And I hope you are dealing with your loss.

Hugs
Sandra
