I got Insurance a month or 2 later I went to doctor said I had a pain sometimes, they did a test told me I had gallstones. Then about 3 wks later My gallbladder became infected and was removed. Now, I am sure I had gallstones for sometime they take a while to get, but I didn't know or find out till afterwards dose that mean they should pay. I would appreciate any knowledge anyone would share with me.

Thanks

I would say that this would not be a pre existing condition.if this was not Dxed before and there is ntothing in your medical records stating this, it would be covered under your insurance policy.when referring to "pre existing"these are usually conditions that have been found and documented by another doc at some point before you signed up for your insurance.or if you have had surgery on a certain area for something.when we tried to get ins for me way back when i first got married and my husbands crappy ins would not cover me, i put down in the paperwork that at age 16 i had been dxed with endometriosis and then had a Lap surgery to remove two large cysts, they placed a rider on anything to do with my female organs.needless to say, we dropped them and moved onto some other ins co.my doc told me not to put down anything from my past on this new paperwork or we would end up having the same thing happen. You probably could not get away with that in todays new computer world.i finally ended up being able to be on my husbands ins when he went to a different job with the post office.I am pretty sure you are safe from having to pay your own bills for your current condition as this problem was actually caused when you developed an infection, and since most infections are not a pre existing type of condition it would be considered a new dx.FB

Many insurance companies will cover pre-existing conditions as long as you have had continuous coverage. So you might want to check into that as well.
