Hello,

I am almost positive this has been brought up in another thread its just I have specific circumstances that I need to make point of in any new type of herb I take.

First off, I believe I am depressed. If I am with my friends I find myself pretending to have fun in a situation which I know I would have had fun in, in the past. Secondly, I find it harder now to talk socially, perhaps I am not happy with myself. Actually, this is most likely the reason. I am in the process of trying to fix that, I went through a surgery with many complications which led to more surgery and weight loss etc... Basically I feel detached from the world. I find myself drifting off in situations and very unhappy.

Basically, I wish to try a herb that will help. I am very "picky" about what I take. At the moment due to the surgery I cannot take anything that will drastically thin my blood (lack of coagulation) or speed my heart rate up (or blood pressure). So, does anyone have something that they believe I can take?

I really wish to get over this but it doesn't seem to be going away. It really has effected my social life and I think my friends are starting to see it despite my efforts to hide it.

Thanks

try St. John's Wort capsules. THey are great for depression and anxiety, tiredness, stress... etc. they are ultimate mood lifters. You can also buy the herb tea. Also, try drinking caffeine herb teas such as chamomile and peppermint which can relax you. St. John's wort also has a numerous amount of other health aspects. I highly recommend doing some research on it and taking it... (try taking a multivitamin too...)

The problem with alot of st johns wort products out there is that they dont have hyperforin, which is the key natural reuptake inhibitor. most st johns wort only have hypericum 3%. If your gonna take st johns wort make sure u find a good one with hyperforin in itas close to 5% as u can as thats the pharmaceutical grade hope that helps.

Go to nutri-west website and look at Total 5-HTP supplement. I just started taking it. although it was prescribed thru my applied kinesiology Dr. But it has some things in it for depression and anxiety.
check it out.

St John's Wort sent me into a tail spin. After a few days of taking it I started crying and crying and could not stop. At first didn't realize it was that, but when I began to suspect I asked the pharmacist and he said many people have this reaction, so be sure to be careful with anything you try.
