for 3 months now my nose has been extremely DRY and stuffy and i have had this horrendous 24-7 pressure headache, the doctor insists i have allergies, but i have to wonder? i thought people with allergies constantly had snot running out? my nose is very DRY and stopped up.

So anyway, I just tried to squirt some salt water up my left nostril, and let it drain out the right side, but something weird happened.... my right ear suddenly had a sharp pain and it got totally stopped up for about 5 minutes........now i'm scared to try it again....because i'm not sure if that was a good or bad thing.??

My symptoms are:

- very dry stuffy nose
- sick feeling, pressure headache, disorientation
- very 'full' feeling in head muscles (such as forehead)
- some relief when hard pressure is applied to forehead
- very 'heavy headed' feeling for 3 strait months, 24/7
- light pressure feeling in chest...sometimes i feel my heartbeat pounding
- occasional spells of severe dizziness that is allways worse when not positioned strait up (ie- if i'm laying down, or looking up, etc, i get very dizzy, the room starts spinning almost insanely)

Now, my room is very dusty and I spend about 90% of my life in my room. But I dont know if I have allergies to dust or not. But, again, my nose doesn't run unless i MAKE myself sneeze (which makes me feel better for a few seconds).

So does anyone think i really have allergies? And what do you think about the nasal irrigation thing that made my ear go crazy?...I thought the only opening to your ears was the eustation tubes in the back of your throat? are there any passages to your ears up your nose?
