I did a google search for narrow stools .....and it is always listed as a symptom of colon cancer.

Is this exclusive to colon cancer? To have thin narrow stools ? Does anyone else have them ?

I have them all the time. Can this be caused by UC ?

I need to know. Who else out there has narrow pencil thin stools?

Anyone out there having them from Colitis or some other non-cancerous disease?

I am getting very very Worried

UC can cause thin stools too because of the improper contractions of the colon. I'm certain you see a gastro who dx your UC. Next time you see him/her, hopefully within a month or so, mention it to them and ask for another colonoscopy to make sure you don't have other issues going on. I don't know when your last scope was??? But follow up with your gastro.

Any benign growth that obstructs the lower rectum can also cause narrow stool.

I had narrow stools, turned out to be severe constipation.. i increased my fiber, excersise, and take a stool softener, everything has turned back to normal...
