My hair is dyed auburn, but I am thinking about going back to my natural color (brown). Can I put the brown on top of the auburn, or will the red show through?

Sponsor quincy 08-08-2005, 02:33 PM Hi....an ash brown (with a green base) will counter the red. some ash is violet based..you would have to enquire to the company. I know, Clairol ashes are green based...at least they were a few years ago. Check the box insert for the line colours and resulting colour if used.... Look at the "if your hair colour is" column to auburn....and "if you choose" column to ash brown (or how ever it's worded)...,if the result is brown..then that's the one to choose. If you have regrowth, that area might be a bit different than the auburn coloured hair after the colour. Do it as you would a regular colour..roots first then take it down to the rest of your hair. Careful, tho if the ends are very porous which will take quickly...then you'll have to take it to the mid shaft, then the ends a time later. The word smokey or opalescent would be more violet based. Hope this helps. quincy Hope this helps. Blue102 08-08-2005, 03:43 PM Thanks! :bouncing: |
