surgury? My dad had open heart surgury in Dec. Since then he has complained of having chest pains?? Is it possible to still have chest pains after having open heart surgury?? He had a quadruple by-pass and came through it ok.

Not sure if any other problems may factor into it or not. He has high blood pressure, diabetes, and is on dialysis 3x a week.

He has just been taken to the hospital again for chest pains, and I just don't understand why he keep having them?

Even arteries bypassed can become clogged in a short time. He may need a heart cath to tell the dr if everything is still open. I had a single vessel bypass, the RCA which failed.
