Hi there,
I have been reading all of your threads and learned alot, i will try to make this as brief as possible.
2 years ago i was diagnosed w/ acid reflux ( gerd ) Hiatel Hernia and erosion of the esophogus ( sp?)
I have been on Prevacid now for 2 years, i have a little relief ( meaning only 1 or 2 attacks a month) but i live in constant stomach issues every day.
I have developed this mysterious pain under my left rib i have had this for a year, i have taken every test there is!!!! I just had a colonscopy last monday.
Any one have a clue on what this pain under my rib is?? Also someone told me to have a Hydascan for my Gallbladder is it possible?? I really dont have classic Gallbladder issues.
Any suggestions would be great!!!
Thanks

Hi sicktomystomach,
Are you sure you did not have an upper endoscopy? The Colonoscopy is for your bowels (lower). I have the same pain in my stomach area on the left, sort of by my ribs (lower). I have gastritis, so I attribute it to that. That is mostly a very, very irritated stomach! I have not noticed when I have it. Maybe we should both keep track of what we eat, drink or do b4 we get that pain. It might have some bearing on it?!
I also have gerd, and hiatal hernia, and esophageal varicies. So, it could be a combination of many things. I plan on asking my gastro next time I go this fall.
I do not know anything about gall bladders.
I hope you get your ?s answered. Take care. Wannabe
