Sorry, have not kept up with all of you as I should have. Decided to definitely take a month off as planned. So just let friends and family entertain hubby as much as possible and I kind of tried to do my own thing.

Some days it worked--some days it did not--but still had some respite and that is what the 5 weeks gone were all about.

I am still reading thru everything catching up and from some of what I have read--some are doing really great and some still have problems--I guess we can just say --typical in the life of a care giver. Bless us all.

Anyway will take the time to look at everything. In the meantime, it is good to be home and hope all of you are coping best you can.

Hugs, Linda

Hi SiestaDrew,

I am so glad you got some respite time. Werent you in a cabin by a lake with family and/or friends or something like that?! I bet it was fun and different for both you and your husband. And I am sure it was worth going for!

How is your husband doing (when you have the time to start writing again)? It is my fathers that has alzheimers. We are deep into it. As I am sure you are. Let us here all that yall did while you were gone. I got to go away for several short trips this summer with my parents and other family members, so I had a little respite too!

There are some of the lovely, helpful ladies that were here before me and then some like me & such, and then some newbies. I do not even know if I talked very much when you were last here or if I was still just listening?!

Take care and ease back into the daily caregiving. Wannabe
