what does a diabetic attack consist of?? Hypoglycemic attack?? Need to know please.

Need to know please. ~Bri Roberts almonkey 08-10-2005, 09:31 PM Hyperglycemia or high blood sugar can have the following symptoms: Polyphagia (frequently hungry) Blurred vision Polyuria (frequently urinating) Fatigue Polydipsia (frequently thirsty) Weight loss Poor wound healing (cuts, scrapes, etc.) Dry mouth Dry or itchy skin Impotence (male) Recurrent infections such as vaginal yeast infections, groin rash, or external ear infections (swimmers ear) Severe hyperglycemia can lead to diabetic Ketoacidosis- is life-threatening and needs immediate treatment. Symptoms include: shortness of breath breath that smells fruity nausea and vomiting a very dry mouth Hypoglycemia or low blood glucose can have the following symptoms: shakiness dizziness sweating hunger headache irritability pale skin color sudden moodiness or behavior changes, such as crying for no apparent reason clumsy or jerky movements difficulty paying attention, or confusion tingling sensations around the mouth Testing blood sugar to always be sure is important. |
