I have been dieting for 4 days. I'm not on any particular diet plan i.e. Akins, south beach diet, jenny Craig, etc. I have reduced my food intake and started eating healther and lighter. My exercise for 50 minutes a day. Today I woke up feeling nauseated. Is that normal?
For breakfast I'll eat a peach, or like today I had a yogurt and some grapes. Throughout the day i might eat this: lunch- 2 slices of turkey, snack: 1 spoonful of fat free ice cream and 5 cucumber slices and dinner: broiled fish, green beans, & a small portion of rice. Dinnertime is the only real meal I eat in a day and usually I eat that around 5pm. I try not to consume anything after 7 pm.

Sounds to me like you are waking up hungry.

You never have to go hungry to lose weight.

Exercising muscles around your stomach can result in a feeling of nausea, especially if you havent exercised/used those muscles regularly before now.

I agree with sbdot. I think you are probably not eating enough. Its one thing to be hungry when you wake up but to be sick is another. I have some experience on both sides of the eating scale... eating too much and being obese (229 right now) and being anorexic at 104lbs 18 months ago. And when I wasn't eating enough I frequently felt hungry. I am just starting a diet for the first time since my recovery from anorexia and I refuse to go hungry ever again. Have you tried a food journal? It really helps me a lot to write it down. You might not be eating as much as you think you are and if you are exerciseing you probably don't need to reduce your calories as much as you are.
