Last week I went on a camping trip, ever since I have got back I have had horible stomach pains and chronic diareah. I have been waiting for it to go away, but it has yet let up. I finally made an appointment to see my health care provider tomorrow morning. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be causing this and what kind of tests (if any) will be done? It's always nice to hear from others. Thanks :)

It could be giardia or cryptosporidia. Those are the most common water-borne illnesses you get from camping. I think they test for those by doing a stool sample to look for the organisms and other possible culprits. Good luck!
