I was wondering if a protein shake in morning along with a Balance Bar would be considered a health breakfast?

Nope. It's not real food. Your body was designed to operate on whole natural foods.
You're getting a lot of unnessary stuff in those processed prepackaged foods and your are likely missing out on some beneficial nutrients by not eating real food. Those protein shakes and bars are fine on occasion, just don't use them ever day.

i also have a protein mix with oj in the morning if I didn't I wouldn't even have breakfast...so what is better...skip it...or have something?
might not be the best breakfast, but it is something to get ya going. :)

I'm with arkie here. It's not real food. As a meal replacement once in a while, fine; but on a regular basis? The stuff is little more than vitamins dressed up as food. Would you consider it healthy to have just vitamin pills for breakfast?

actually that was my breakfast before was my liquid vitamins and then coffee, until lunch..
meal replacement in a way..many vegans use this stuff for protein as well. less sugar, and fat than most stuff. slimfast is sugar, vitamins..
whey protein is less than 2g of fat, and sugar and 17g of protein..I only started taking it when lo-carbin..
so it is better than nothin.
I think it is still better then nothing if you don't have time for breakfast and for a lot of us there is no time...and we don't want to make time either. :)
I hate eating first thing and this is the only way to get some nourishment before work. And it is more "real" than eating a donut, or croissant or whatever else processed food so many eat, I mean that is like saying capt. crunch is real food...
