Getting your blood sugars in check will certainly help....Have you looked into any natural help like eating yogart w/ live cultures etc? Your body is off that is why the yeast grows. getting back to acidic/alkaline balance will help which goes back to getting blood sugars in check...and letting your body kill the yeast w/ good bacteria.Recurrent infections such as vaginal yeast infections, groin rash, or external ear infections (swimmers ear)

One of the signs/symptoms of hyperglycemia are "Recurrent infections such as vaginal yeast infections, groin rash, or external ear infections (swimmers ear)".

How high are your sugars?

Parcelgirl,
Yeast infections are the bane of women with diabetes. I suffered for years until Diflucan hit the market. It was the only treatment that worked, and I believe that is because it's an oral medication and works systemically to fight yeast, as opposed to the vaginal suppositories, etc., that only treat that one area of the body.

Almonkey is also right that tight control will help, but it's not always quite that simple. Ask your doc for a prescription for Diflucan and see if it doesn't make a difference. For me it not only worked, but kept the yeast infection from reoccurring for many, many months!
