can someone amswer this question? I have taken xanax in the past to help relieve the side efects of going onto zoloft. I am once again going on zoloft & my anxiety has hit the roof. What is bizzare is that in the past whenever I took the xanax >25mgs it would simply bring my anxiety down to almost nothing. In the last two days when I took it it made me feel SOOOO sleepy & loopy that all I could do is lay down & sleep for awhile. Has anyone had it affect them so differantly & it still being the same dosage? Should I not take it & ask for something else now?

I would not recommend Xanax at all because it's VERY addictive...there are so many other drugs out there to help you....don't take anything addictive...Xanax is so dangerous...................

Your anxiety should not get worse on zoloft. If it does you need to try a different medication.
Xanax is extremely addictive.

Are you sure that you are taking 25 mg? That is a heck of a lot. They come in .5 1 2 bars, but I have never known anyone to start out on 25

there looks to be a typo. the (.) and (>) are on the same key. it looks to me as if the dosage could be .25mg

lostinreality- It is quite common for a person's anxiety to increase once they begin an SSRI. Since laineyk is just beginning to take Zoloft, this doesn't mean that the medicine won't work in a couple of weeks. However, once the trial period is over, and if the anxiety still is worse, then a new medication is in order.
