Hi everyone...I am a 34 year old woman, healthy non smoker or drinker...never had any problems at all with chest pain or heart burn or indegestion. Last week, I had about 4 episodes where I nearly blacked out...then this morning I had a bleeding nose just out of the blue. I have had these very tight chest pains in the centre of my chest, about 3 or 4 every hour and all day from morning till now at 8.15pm. I have five children, its definitely not heart burn, its a chest pain I've never felt before. Anyone know what could cause this?? I do'nt want to go to the docs just to be told I have heart burn. Cheers

A nose bleed could be related to high blood pressure.

Chest pain could be angina (pain or tightness in the chest area). If it is angina pectoris, the cause is almost always due to a blocked or partially blocked coronary arteries. The pain is because of insufficient blood to an area of the heart muscle. If not treated, heart muscle could die and lead to a very serious problem.

You are relatively young, but a heart problem can't be ruled out. You should see a cardiologist.

suzy...

If it hurts when you breath deep it's a chest wall inflammation.

If it hurts when you exercise and quits when you stop, then it's time to start thinking angina...and a cardiologist!
