I have a few small facial warts and one or two on my hands. Does anyone know of a home remedy for warts that actually works. I've read that tea tree oil is supposed to get rid of warts. Anyone tried this?

Sounds stupid...
Cut a potato into small slices... and twice a day, rub a raw slice of potato on your wart for 2 minutes... Eventually the wart will shrivel and go away...something in the potato that kills whatever creates the wart in the first place.
not a veggie lover?
SUper glue... (clear too!)... you put a dab of superglue (stay away from eyes!) on the wart... and keep reapplying... wart will go away...
People like to use Apple cider vinegar... soak cottenball in the apple cider vinegar and rub over wart twice a day... wart will go away...

Thanks Tamaralynn, lol, I guess it doesn't hurt to try. I will give the potato a shot, if that doesn't work I'll proceed to the next one.

Super-glue I would stay way way way away from - especially if you're talking about something on the face. Interestingly enough, one study (at least) has shown that occlusion of the wart with simple duct tape had significant results... From the abstract: "Duct tape occlusion therapy was significantly more effective than cryotherapy for treatment of the common wart." Surprising... eh?

I suffer from a number of periungal warts that have shown resistance to both salicylic acid and cryotherapy. Just today, I went in for my first injection of Candida antigen directly into the warts in an effort to stimulate an immune response in the region. The idea is that your immune system will become wise to the presence of a foreign invader in the region, and will also create an immune response to the wart virus causing the eruption on the skin. Studies have shown that even in patients that received treatment of one wart, resolution was achieved, in some cases, of warts in distant locations, indicating systemic immune response.

Warts stink - I've dealt with them for a while - I wish you the best in you efforts.

Adam thanks for the tip. I've heard of this new approach, and it does sound interesting. Let us know how this injection works for you? Does this work on a permanent basis or can the warts return at a later date?
